Asking for Things so He Wants to Say “Yes.”

This video is specifically for wives – but much of it applies to women in committed romantic relationships – and really, a lot of it applies when we are asking for something from anyone.

All people respond better when someone asks for things politely, respectfully, cheerfully, kindly and with a friendly facial expression and tone of voice.  I know that I am much more likely to give my children what they want when they ask respectfully than if they cry, demand, yell, or try to force me to do what they want.

Asking respectfully doesn’t guarantee me that I will always get what I ask for.  But it will help my husband want to do what I desire.  And if he decides what I am asking for is not best for our family – then I can graciously accept his answer and trust God to work all things for my good in His sovereignty.
